A 1-day workshop by Butterfly Bondage & Saara Rei

Playing with power is one of the most profound things to experiment with and experience. During this 6 hour workshop, your partner and you will be guided through exercises, to learn how to safely explore playing with power. We will dive deep into the psychological as well as physical practices. Your teachers are Butterfly and Betty Kil, both advanced practitioners of this type of interaction. We go beyond rope bondage, and deepen our exploration of powerful interaction.

Having control is an illusion.
Nobody can truly take control.
Control must be given.

What is this workshop about?
During this workshop, we will dive deep into power exchange, combined with rope bondage. We will explore different methods for convincing another person to give control and how to use rope as a tool for doing so. We will also look into the dynamics between two partners. Because, in order to gain control over another, the other must be convinced to submit.

Some examples of the things we will explore:
-Current power dynamics between your partner and you, and wishes for future power dynamics to be explored.
-Our genuine desires, and using those as a tool to reward, ignore, acknowledge, punish and cherish someone.
-How to lead and follow by using our physical bodies, with and without rope as a tool.
-How to exert power without physical touch, diving deep into the mental aspect of power play.
-Reading the body and its cues, coming from the conscious as well as the subconscious.
-Working with trust and being responsible, while having challenging interactions.
-We will also work on: seduction versus applying force, reward versus punishment, guilt versus pride, comfort versus discomfort, etc.

For whom?
This workshop is suitable for people who like rope bondage and have a huge interest in playing with power and control. You need only some basic knowledge of tying or being tied. The focus will be on how to explore power dynamics, and we won’t dive into shibari technique at all.
